I have found it on Facebook today. The Landfill Harmonic Orchestra – it’s a movie about poor children from Paraguay playing music on recycled instruments made of trash. I thought I will dedicate this short clip to all people who believe they need all the top gear to become better musicians but they can not justify getting some professional music lessons to play better. One of the classic example in my career was a company director I have met for an introductory lesson who owned a guitar collection worth over £40,000 but couldn’t invest in himself £110 per month to take guitar lessons with me. Unfortunately a lot of people value material goods higher than music skills. The kids from Paraguay are proving that you can become a good musician if you really want it and you don’t need the most expensive instrument to achieve that.
