Ladies and Gents

I would like to invite you to Wimbledon School of Guitar March Jam Session Workshop! The event is open to all students as well as non students so if you fancy meeting some new cool people and have fun making music feel free to be part of this event. The upcoming event is open to beginners, intermediate and advanced players.  You can bring either your acoustic or electric guitar and feel free to come along if you play bass, drums and keyboards or if you wish to sing.

Build confidence to play in front of people
The event is a great opportunity to gain experience as a performer. Its your opportunity to showcase your skills no matter the level you are at. Playing live is challenging to musicians at any level and playing at home will never substitute playing live in front of an audience.

Meet reliable like-minded music lovers
The event is a great networking experience. It’s an opportunity to meet high quality musicians. Because it’s a paid event people are more committed than regular open mic/jam night goers. My students are highly motivated and they have reliable musician friends. That means you might meet your future band mate at this jam!

Become a better musician
All students who previously attended student jam nights show more progress than students who chose not to attend. Students who attend jam nights gained experience and enjoy performing at open mic nights and jam sessions. Playing in front of people is a great experience and a lot of fun.

Build Your Repertoire Attending student events is a great way to build your repertoire. It is very likely that at some point people will ask you to play for them at some house party or other occassion. Not knowing how to play any song can be really frustrating especially after many years of playing guitar. Remember that nobody wants to hear you playing scales or improvising. What people want is a song;-)

Song Set List Here are songs we are doing in classes with students. If you are not a student but you wish to join the event and play your favourite song that is not on the list you must be prepared to sing it;-) otherwise choose something from the list or from past student events posted on this site.
